This work provides information technology (IT) services to assist network-centric operations under the Network Centric Solutions-2 (NETCENTS-2) Enterprise Integration and Services Management (EISM) Contract.

Dayton, Ohio, March 28, 2011 – Ross Group Inc (www.rossgroupinc.com) announced today that it was awarded a subcontract by prime contractor Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) to support the NETCENTS-2 EISM contract. The multiple-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract has a total ceiling value of $460 million for all awardees, if all options are exercised.

The EISM contract provides the Air Force with a new capability for enterprise-level information technology management including Services Lifecycle Management (SLM) using non-personal Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) contracts. Because EISM provides strategic level consulting, it will help the Air Force and its major commands, direct reporting units and center-level organizations manage and plan for IT and net-centric changes within their domains. These services will enable enterprise integration and service management support for both infrastructure and mission capabilities.

"Ross Group is well positioned with SAIC to provide complementary Services Lifecycle Management on EISM" says Steve Woody, Senior Vice-President of Government Solutions. "We provide best practice SLM services to customers across the country running Ross Group’s Enterprise Application Software (EAS) systems built on Web Services (WS) and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) frameworks. They rely on our SLM support, methodology, and continual service improvement."

Ross Group continues to excel in RAC experience assisting the Air Force with its COOP (Continuity of Operations) initiatives. Oracle RAC enables a single database to run across a cluster of servers, providing fault tolerance, performance, and scalability without modifying applications. Ross Group experience in Oracle high availability solutions goes all the way back to OPS (Oracle Parallel Server) in Oracle V6. Since then we have implemented and supported the new generation of Oracle RAC environments in both the Government and Private sectors. Ross Group is requiring all of its Government database administrators and engineers to attend Oracle RAC and Grid Infrastructure 11g training. This greatly improves risk mitigation for critical database environments such as Air Force Intelligence systems.

"Our 15 years of Oracle support and experience promoting high efficiency and high availability database environments has evolved into a set of Oracle RAC best practices. Continuity of operations and stabilization standards within Enterprise Architecture (EA) domains for the Department of Defense (DoD) and Air Force remain a mission critical priority. Oracle RAC has been the solution for many of the DoD organizations. Our teams are well prepared to provide support efficiencies and optimization to meet complex Oracle RAC installations", says Steve Woody, Senior Vice President of Government Solutions.

Brian Osborne, Ross Group's Government Business Development Manager, is building the foundation for yet another Young Professional organization in the Dayton region. Mr. Osborne will be working very closely with the Dayton-Wright Chapter of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association commonly known as AFCEA to establish a centralized gathering of young professionals for both industry and government. This organization will be known as Young AFCEAns.

In order to address these demographics’ unique interests, the mentoring activities of Young AFCEAn members are generally tailored to career development, leadership development, and access to senior leaders that would not otherwise be gained outside of the Young AFCEAn activities. This exposure allows Young AFCEAns to enhance their leadership skills and provides an environment conducive to mentoring and networking.

The Young AFCEAn organization offers it members the valuable opportunity to make an impact within the local community while developing professionally by exercising their leadership skills. “I saw a gap within the AFCEAgroup for some time in regards to young professional participation and it was time to change that,” said Brian Osborne. Mr. Osborne has undertaken a similar initiative in the Dayton Arts community for a non-profit known as Culture Works which has been underway for several months now.

The Ross Group founded in 1994 is a successful technology firm well established in the business commercial space. While the main focus has been on the commercial side over the years, Ross Group has also provided IT services and custom application development for local counties, state governments and the US Air Force.

In 2008, we established the Ross Group Government Solutions (RGGS) division to focus on delivering specialized IT services to various local, state and federal government organizations. The same premium IT services, application engineering and framework, and technologies provided to the business commercial sector are now positioned to the government sector. Federal services are provided primarily to the US Air Force and through the General Services Administration (GSA) under FSC Group 70 – Information Technology (IT) Products and Professional Services.

The Ross Group senior partners and management team come from lengthy Air Force and DOD engagements. “We are very excited to re-enter the government space for best in class IT services and application solutions that have served our customers well in the commercial space” said Steve Woody, Senior Vice-President at Ross Group. “The leadership team at Ross Group provides a unique advantage having senior professional backgrounds in DOD, business, and technology.”

Over the last year RGGS has signed teaming agreements with six defense contracting firms and we are in the process of signing up with to ten more firms for strategic alliance purposes. We expect to have significant growth in 2009 with the anticipation and goals of at least doubling our RGSS size.
