Ed Villanacci Recognized By ESPN-2 As MVP
Ed Villanacci, a Ross Group Inc employee located in the Douglasville, GA office, was recently nominated and subsequently chosen as an MVP – Most Valuable Parent – for his dedication and efforts in leading the Winston Baseball Association as the president for the past four years. The MVP award was sponsored by ESPN and Kentucky Fried Chicken. A segment aired on Monday, August 13th, on ESPN-2 detailing Ed’s achievement award.
Ed has been involved with the Winston Baseball Association since the spring of 2001. Ed joined the board of directors in early 2002 and took over as president during the fall of 2003. Since Ed joined the board of directors, the spring season registration has grown from 170 players to 425 players on 35 teams during the spring 2007 season. Ed recently stepped down as president of the association but continues to serve on the board of directors as chairman to advise and assist and keep the association growing and providing youth baseball opportunities in the Winston, GA area.
